DO I NEED TO SHIP THROUGH MY LOCAL FFL?
All shipping of serialized and non-serialized parts can be handled through us because we are a licensed FFL dealer. FFL number 6-05-xxx-xx-xx-01369 FFL EZ Check
We are happy to provide a FILE copy of our FFL to you or your shipping source when requested. for serialized parts and complete firearms, we are required to ship it back to the address that is listed on your government issued ID (i.e. drivers license, passport, military ID, etc.) that you provide. When shipping these types of items, please include a legible copy of your chosen form of identification. For non-serialized parts, you ship it directly to use, and we can ship them back to anyone or anywhere you specify. It is required by law that a person that does not possess a valid FFL, must ship handguns by 2nd day air with a contract carrier (UPS, FEDEX, etc.) Long guns can be shipped with ground service by the USPS or a contract carrier. We will primarily use USPS for return shipping mainly because of cost or service.
BASIC GUIDELINES FOR SHIPPING FIREARMS
*Handguns must be shipped 2nd day air by a contract carrier. Please don not use your local post office. We do not know the consequences of shipping it any other way, but we do know it is a law and why risk it.
*Long guns and non-serialized parts can be shipped by ground service. USPS is the cheapest.
*Please use either carrier pickup or take it directly to a service center, it will save you money and it is much more reliable that your local pack and ship center.
*Please buy insurance for the full value of your items being shipped. Its cheap and your stuff is not. Please note on your work order how much insurance you would like placed on your return shipment.
*Declare that you are shipping an unloaded firearm for repairs. They should not give you any trouble, it is legal to do so.
*MAKE SURE YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED!!!
*Do not ship any ammo with your firearms
*Make sure your firearms and parts are packed well with sufficient cushioning for the trip
*Please include an itemized packing list of everything you send us. We cannot be held responsible for anything that is not documented

HOW IS PAYMENT HANDLED?
Payment for our products from our online store is handled through our checkout. You must use a credit card to complete your purchase.
Payment for Cerakote and Laser services is not due until the project is completed. You have a few options on how to pay:
- You can send a check or money order in with your parts to be worked on
- You can elect to have a credit card invoice sent to you once your project is completed, it will take you to a credit card portal where you can pay your invoice online.
All projects must be paid in full before it will be returned to you
WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
Our turnaround time for cerakote services can depend on many factors. Special order parts, special ordered colors, and stenciling will affect our turnaround time. Most jobs, with the exception of custom builds and intricate finishes will be completed withing 2 to 3 weeks of receiving the item. With builds and finishes, it can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks depending on what we have to do. We will always keep you informed of our progress. Turnaround time for laser services is always quicker. Depending on the project it can be completed within 24 hours to 3 days.
WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER, AND WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
We offer a lifetime guarantee on all Cerakote coatings! We guarantee that our cerakote coatings will never chip, crack, peel, or flake off. At OceanStateArmory we follow Cerakotes procedures for prep work and
coating. If for by some chance after your recieve your firearm or item
that has been coated by us, and it begins to chip, peel, or flake, we
will recoat the firearm or item the color or colors that it was prior to the issue. This does not cover normal wear and tear. Cerakote will begin to have
noticeable wear marks if the firearm is being holstered and unholstered.
It will also shows signs of wear if the firearm is being put to heavy
use on a consistent basis.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY NEWLY FINISHED FIREARM?
We suggest to treat cerakoted firearms and parts as you would any other firearm or part. Cerakote is impervious to all solvent, lubricants, and other products designed for use on firearms. Cerakote is a very tough coating.
WHAT PARTS CAN BE CERAKOTED?
With cerakote, virtually any part of a gun that is not made of rubber can be coated. However, our policy is to not cerakote any critical contact points such as sears, safeties, triggers, disconnectors etc., any aftermarket match triggers, springs, and inside of barrels or chambers. Some springs tgat are attached permanently to a gun must sometimes be coated, In these instances these springs will be coated, but we will not coat anything that will affect the function of your firearm.
WHEN CAN I USE MY NEWLY CERAKOTED FIREARM OR PARTS?
As soon as you receive them back. All of our finishes are fully cured when they are shipped back to you.

CAN I HAVE MY NEWLY PURCHASED PART CUSTOMIZED BEFORE I RECEIVE IT?
Yes. We can cerakote your item before it comes to you. Any new firearm or parts/accessories that you purchase from us and would like cerakoted, we will discount the cerakote 20%. Thats a huge savings!
HOW CAN I PURCHASE A FIREARM ONLINE?
-Chose the firearm in our online store.
-Add the firearm to your cart and checkout with your address.
-Locate an FFL dealer near you.
-Have your FFL dealer email a copy of theyre FFL to email@example.com. Please make sure they include your name and order info.
-We ship your firearm to the FFL dealers address.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO PURCHASE A FIREARM ONLINE?
You must be 18 years or older to purchase a shotgun or a rifle and 21 years or older to purchase a handgun.
CAN I PURCHASE MAGAZINES ONLINE?
Yes, they can be purchased , but there are restrictions based on your location. Please check your local amd state laws before purchasing. It is up to you to know and follow those laws.
CAN I PURCHASE AMMO ONLINE?
Yes, most states allow ammo to be shipped.

HOW DO RETURNS WORK?
Returns are accepted for merchandise that is defective. We will provide a refund, or exchange on all defective firearms, prior to transfer, and accessories found defective within 10 days. We will also arrange for the defective item returned to us by the original shipper. Please do not return packages prior to receiving confirmation from us.

Firearms Returns - Please take your time to
inspect all firearms thoroughly before proceeding with the transfer.
Once a new firearm is transferred to you it is considered used, even if
unfired. We cannot provide a full refund for new firearms once they
have been transferred into your possession. Also, we do not reimburse
FFL transfer fees on returned items. We do understand that some
manufacturer defects may not be identifiable upon initial inspection.
However, upon discovering a defect after the transfer, the firearm must
be returned directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair (in
accordance with manufacturer’s warranty policy). By sending a defective
firearm directly to the manufacturer, you can avoid the unnecessary
transfer fees of returning the firearm to us through your local FFL
