Why Cerakote Your Golf Club or Putter?

Golf equipment takes more abuse than its appearance might suggest. Moisture, dirt, sand, fertilizers, sweat, handling, and repeated use can eventually take their toll on factory finishes.

Cerakote provides a durable protective coating while giving you nearly unlimited control over the appearance of your club.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent corrosion protection

  • Outstanding abrasion and wear resistance

  • Chemical resistance

  • UV stability

  • Extremely thin coating

  • Preserves fine details and part dimensions

  • Hundreds of available colors

  • Clean, professional appearance

  • Excellent option for refinishing older or worn clubs

Choosing Your Color

This service is for a single-color Cerakote application, but that doesn't mean you're limited to basic colors.

Cerakote offers an enormous selection including:

  • Blacks and Graphites

  • Greys and Silvers

  • OD Greens

  • Flat Dark Earth and Earth Tones

  • Bronze and Copper tones

  • Blues

Choosing the Right Cerakote

Cerakote H Series — Recommended

For most golf clubs and putters, Cerakote H Series is our recommended finish.

H Series provides an excellent combination of durability, corrosion protection, and appearance while offering the largest selection of Cerakote colors.

It's the ideal choice whether you're looking for a subtle factory-style finish or something completely different.

Cerakote Elite Series

Cerakote Elite Series is engineered for exceptional wear and corrosion resistance while maintaining an extremely thin coating.

Color selection is more limited than H Series, but Elite can be an excellent choice when maximum performance is the priority.

Cerakote C Series

C Series is primarily intended for extremely high-temperature applications such as exhaust components and other equipment exposed to significant heat.

Because golf equipment doesn't experience these temperatures, C Series is generally unnecessary for this application.

Cerakote Gen II NiR

Gen II NiR coatings were developed primarily for military applications requiring specialized visible and near-infrared signature management and generally aren't necessary for golf equipment.

Club Preparation

For the best possible finish, components being Cerakoted must be properly prepared before coating.

Disassembly and reassembly are not included in the Cerakote service unless specifically stated.

Whenever possible, please send or drop off the component being coated fully disassembled.

Any additional disassembly, reassembly, masking, adhesive removal, or preparation beyond our standard Cerakote process may require additional labor.

Important Finish Considerations

Cerakote is extremely durable, but it is not indestructible.

Normal wear can occur on areas that repeatedly contact the ground, golf ball, other clubs, or abrasive surfaces. High-impact areas such as the sole and striking face may show wear faster than protected areas of the club.

Certain areas may also need to remain uncoated or be professionally masked to maintain proper function and dimensions.

Our Thoughts

You don't need to replace a favorite putter just because the finish has seen better days.

A single-color Cerakote refinish can completely change the appearance of a club while adding a durable layer of protection against corrosion and everyday wear.

Go understated with Graphite Black, Tungsten, Sniper Grey, or an earth tone—or build something that nobody else in your foursome is going to have.

Your club. Your color. Your build.
