One thing we believe deserves an honest discussion is the activation system.
The X300's switches are proven and dependable, but they aren't the most intuitive controls on the market.
Momentary activation is achieved by pushing the paddles forward, while rotating them upward or downward engages constant-on mode.
Under recoil, it's not uncommon for shooters attempting to use momentary activation to inadvertently rotate the switch into constant-on mode.
For that reason, we generally recommend training with the X300 as a constant-on/constant-off light, rather than relying heavily on momentary activation. Once you build that habit, the system becomes extremely fast and consistent.
It's not a flaw—just something worth understanding before you start carrying or competing with the light.
