For rifles equipped with LPVOs or scopes that have smaller windage turrets, we generally prefer the 35-degree configuration. It requires less rifle rotation to transition to your red dot, making target transitions feel slightly faster and more natural.
If you're running a larger optic with oversized elevation or windage turrets, the 45-degree configuration provides the extra clearance needed while still maintaining an excellent shooting position.
Another feature we appreciate is the mount's true modularity.
Should you ever change red dot footprints, you don't have to replace the entire mount. Simply swap to a different Arisaka optic plate and continue using the same base. It's a smart system that saves both money and unnecessary hardware changes.
Choosing the Correct Height
