The Forward Controls Design MSQ-H is a heavy-duty M-LOK QD sling mount built for shooters who prioritize durability over shaving every possible ounce. Developed in collaboration with Sons of Liberty Gun Works and based on the proven Arson Machine design, the MSQ-H retains a simple, low-profile footprint while upgrading the construction to 4140 steel with a durable Black Nitride finish.

The MSQ-H wasn't designed to be the lightest sling mount available—it was designed to be one of the strongest.
Forward Controls Design intentionally chose 4140 steel over aluminum, providing significantly greater tensile strength and long-term durability. While it weighs slightly more than aluminum alternatives, the added strength makes it an excellent choice for duty rifles, defensive carbines, and rifles expected to see years of hard use.
As Forward Controls Design puts it, durability and practicality take priority over chasing the latest lightweight trends.
Rotation-Limited Design
The integrated rotation-limited QD socket prevents your sling swivel from spinning freely, helping keep the sling properly oriented during movement and transitions.
This reduces sling twists while providing a more consistent and comfortable carry.
Installation
The MSQ-H installs directly to any M-LOK compatible handguard using the included mounting hardware.
Recommended torque values:
- 35 in-lbs on aluminum handguards
- 15 in-lbs on polymer handguards
An 8/32 Allen wrench (not included) is required for installation.
