Built for Modern Sling Setups

The ESF-H1 is designed around today's most common two-point sling configurations.

The side-facing QD socket includes rotation limiters that prevent the sling from twisting excessively during movement, helping maintain a consistent sling orientation. The rear-facing socket allows unrestricted engagement, with the receiver extension naturally limiting excessive rotation.

This thoughtful design improves rifle handling while reducing unnecessary sling tangles.

Installation Notes

Because the side-mounted QD socket occupies additional space around the castle nut, some traditional three-lug castle nut wrenches may not fully engage during installation.

Forward Controls Design recommends using a two-lug castle nut wrench, such as the Forward Controls Design JCW or a comparable tool, to properly torque the castle nut.

Additionally, the receiver extension indexing tab is intentionally manufactured with tight tolerances and may require slight fitting on some receiver extensions.
